Surf's Up . . . Baptism's Not!

Well, you don't know how much I hate changing things because of the weather, but I made the call this morning - our Baptism @ the Beach for today is being postponed. Actually, the Weather Channel, the Tropical Storm, and the Folks at Folly Beach County Park helped. I called this morning and the guy (the "Dude") on the phone said, "Ooooh Duuude - I don't know about that. It's pretty rough out here Dude. Not good conditions for standing in the water or watching from the shore Dude." And then there was this posted report:

Rip current outlook...for today. Moderate risk. Wind and or wave
conditions support stronger or more frequent rip currents. Only
experienced surf swimmers should enter the water. Heed the advice
of lifeguards and the beach patrol. Pay attention to flags and
posted signs.

So, after all that, we've decided to postpone the Baptism @ the Beach Service one week. It will be next Saturday, June 9th, 3PM at Folly Beach County Park. Although, David Schmidt said he'll probably be out surfing later today. He's a surfing freak! Surf's up - Dude!
