Mamma Mia!

Speaking of our series, we used the movie, "Mamma Mia!" to set up our talk today about the Father's love. I know I ragged out the movie a little bit - but like I said, come on, it's a musical! But there's a line in the movie where the daughter says, "I feel like a part of me was missing. And when I meet my dad everything will fall into place." Wow - that will preach. Just like Sophie, whether people recognize it or not, we are all searching for our Father. And the good news is that He is searching for us, drawing us to Himself. Most of our problems in life come from not knowing our Father and understanding how much He loves us.
Ephesians 3:17-19 (NLT), "And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God."
Wes was very sick today. He told me he actually contemplated what it would be like if he threw up on stage. I told him it would definitely be memorable. Our Middle School students would probably go, "Coooolll!" But you couldn't tell at all that he wasn't feeling well. Our music at Coastal rocks! God has been moving in a powerful way at our church lately. People's lives are being changed. We are sharing and experiencing LIFE!
