Opportunities All Around

I took the van back to the rental place today. As I
approached the counter, it was obvious the woman
checking the van back in was having a bad day.
First of all, she was the only one there. Then she
explained that their computers were down. She made
a joke about praying over the computer. I asked her
what church she went to. She explained that she
didn't have a church home and that it had been a
while since she had been in church. Her husband was
sick and in need of a liver transplant and getting
out was difficult. I invited her to Coastal.
She paused, looked up and said that in 3 1/2 years of renting vans and vehicles to churches and church groups (probably hundreds of times), I was the first person to ever invite her to church. Now, I don't know if she'll ever visit our church and I don't say any of that to make myself look good. I share that story to say that there are opportunities all around us. People are waiting to be invited to church. They are waiting for someone to reach out to them. Pray that God would give you His eyes and His heart. I think God is waiting too.
