LIFE Groups
What is a LIFE Group?
A LIFE Group is a group of 10 or more people who gather together for 10-12 weeks in someone’s home for the purpose of meeting new people, developing friendships, prayer, having fun, and growing closer to God.
Why should I join?
At Coastal, we believe there is more to LIFE! God created us for relationships - with Him and each other. LIFE Groups are the best place for developing those relationships.
I don’t have the time.
Well, the great thing about LIFE Groups is they work on a semester based system. Every semester, just like school, we have sign-ups for new LIFE Groups. They meet once a week for about an hour and half. We try to offer a variety of LIFE groups with different topics, locations, and times each semester so that you can find the right LIFE Group for you.
How long do I have to decide?
We want you to find the right group for you. So take some time, read the descriptions, feel free to call the leaders and find the best LIFE group for you. However, don’t wait too long. Fall LIFE Groups start the week of September 13th and close the first of October (except Student LIFE Groups). Winter/Spring Groups begin in February and close in May. So if you miss signing up by that date you will have to wait until next semester.
Where do I buy the material for my group?
Everyone is responsible for purchasing and bringing their own book. If a book is required, it is listed in the group description. Typically books are available at Lifeway, Family Christian Stores, or online. Just like college, make sure you have your book before the Group begins.
What about childcare?
Most of our groups provide childcare. Those that don’t are indicated. Each group usually works childcare out on their own - like everyone donating a dollar and hiring a teenager.
